Granulation -> Double Cone Blender

Product Description :

Double Cone Blender is an efficient and versatile machine for mixing of dry powders and granules homogeneously. All the contact parts are made of stainless steel. The effective volume for optimum homogeneity is between 35-70% of gross volume. The SLANT double cone design eliminates dead spots which occasionally occur in conventional double cone mixer. It can be used for pharmaceutical, food, chemical, cosmetic products etc.

Operating principle :

The main body of the blender consists of two cone-shaped sections welded at their bases to a central cylindrical section. The axis of rotation is perpendicular to the cone axis and Passes through the cylindrical section. The driving motor is located at one of the two lateral supports holding the blender body. The solids are introduced into the blender through the loading aperture. In this type of blender, mixing takes place axially, as a result of the powder moving through the different sections. Mixing is thorough but it depends on the rotating speed. The mixture is discharged through a hermetically closing butterfly valve which can be operated manually or automatically. The unit is provided with a guard rail with electrical safety to prevent the operator from accessing it when in operation. If anyone should gain access to the unit, for safety reasons, the operation will cease.

• Manual rotating facility with hand wheel for inching. The same will be provided with ss cover & limit switch. ( In 200 Kgs. & above model )
• Two nos. of safety rod will be provided at back side. ( One LH side & one RH side )
• Suitable size of butter fly valve at one end of the cone provided for material discharge & hole with openable cover provided at other end of the cone for material charging & cleaning.
• Cone will be mirror polished from the inside & outside & structure will be matt polished.
• All moving parts covered with SS304 covers.
• Safety guards made from SS304 pipes provided in front of the m/c with limit switch.
• One shaft with 04 nos. of fixed bafles with mirror polished provided inside the cone.
• Panel fabricated from SS304 material with facility of three phase indication, D.O.L. starter, digital timer & Amp. Meter
• As per customer requirement machine will be provided with left side drive or with right side drive.
• All contact parts are made out of SS304/316(as per customer requirement) quality material.
• Maximum care has been taken to ensure safe operation of the unit.li>
• Worm reduction gear used for speed reduction.
• Food grade rubber gasket will be used on both ends of cone as well as in butterfly valve.
• Inside & outside of the cone will be polished to mirror finish.
• General structure made out of SS304 and Polished to the matt / mirror finish (as required by customer) in GMP Model.
• All safety guards & covers made out of SS304 in GMP Model.
• Hand wheel will be provided for manual tilting of cone./li>
• Safety guards provided with limit switch to limit start of machine when safety guards are not in proper position.
